Sacred Unmuting

Privacy policy

This policy explains what Amanda Quick Healing LLC ("Amanda Quick Healing", "we", "us") collects when you use Sacred Unmuting, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to the app at app.amandaquickhealing.com and to the same service at any other address we operate.

For the rules of use and the refund guarantee, see our Terms and Refund policy.

Who we are

Amanda Quick Healing LLC is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. If you have questions, or want to exercise a right listed below, write to amanda@amandaquickhealing.com and we will respond within one month.

We are a journaling and writing tool. We are not a medical, psychological, or therapeutic service, and we do not act as a health provider for your data.

What we collect

  • Account information: your email address, a password stored only as a hash, and the display name you choose.
  • Optional profile details: the gender field and the email check-in preferences, which you can set, change, or leave empty.
  • Your writing: entry titles, text, tags and tag words you create, arrival and intention notes, drafts, chapters you name, and the order you place entries in.
  • Voice recordings you choose to record. These are converted to text, and the recording and its text are stored so you can play them back.
  • Reflections generated for you from your entries, and the sharing of a single reflection question you choose to copy or post.
  • Billing status: whether your subscription is active, its plan, and its period. Card details are collected by our payment provider, not by us.
  • Technical data needed to run and secure the app: device and browser information, IP address, and error logs.
  • Messages you send us, such as support requests or waitlist sign-ups.

We do not ask for health information, and we do not collect information from other websites about you. We do not use advertising or marketing cookies or tracking pixels.

How we use it

  • to create and secure your account and provide the journal you signed up for (performance of a contract);
  • to generate reflections, chapter suggestions, and tag suggestions you ask for, and to keep the writing experience personal to you (performance of a contract, and your consent where a personalisation field is optional);
  • to send the check-in emails you have chosen to receive, and to honour your opt-out at once (consent);
  • to prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents, and to keep the service stable (legitimate interests);
  • to answer your support messages (legitimate interests);
  • to improve the app in aggregate, without selling your writing (legitimate interests).

We do not make decisions about you by automated means that produce legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not profile you for advertising.

Your writing and AI

Reflections, chapter themes, and tag suggestions are produced by third-party AI models reached through our AI gateway. When you ask for one of those outputs, the text you send (and, for voice entries, the recording you make) is transmitted to that model provider for the sole purpose of producing the answer you asked for.

We do not use your entries to train our own models, and we do not publish your writing to other users. We require our AI providers' commercial API terms, which do not use submitted business data to train their general models. Some providers may retain submitted content for a short period to detect abuse; we do not send your entries to any provider outside those used to run the features you use.

Outputs are generated from your own words and can be inaccurate or miss context. They are a writing mirror, not therapy, medical, or psychological advice.

Who we share it with

  • our hosting and infrastructure providers, who store the app and its data;
  • the AI providers that generate reflections and convert your voice to text, used only to produce the output you asked for;
  • Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, for selling the subscription, managing billing, tax compliance, and invoicing;
  • our email provider, for check-in and account emails;
  • professional advisers such as lawyers and accountants, under confidentiality;
  • authorities, where we are required by law.

We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we do not share your entries with other users. Your entries are private to your account by default; the "Shareable" flag only changes what you can copy, export, or paste out yourself, and never publishes your writing to a public page.

If Amanda Quick Healing LLC is sold, merged, or reorganised, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, and this policy would continue to apply until you are told otherwise.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and entries while your account is open. If you close it, entries, recordings, and reflections are deleted within 30 days unless we must keep something by law. Billing and tax records are kept for as long as accounting and tax law requires. Aggregate, non-identifying usage counts may be kept indefinitely.

Where it is stored

Your data is hosted on servers operated by our providers, which may be located outside your own country. Where information leaves the UK or EEA, we rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

Security

We use technical and organisational measures to protect your information: access controls, per-user isolation of entries enforced at the database level, encryption in transit, restricted internal access, and separate credentials for administrative tools. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your password private and avoid saving your session on a shared device.

If a breach of your personal information occurs and it is required, we will notify you and any relevant authority without undue delay.

Cookies and local storage

The app stores your sign-in session and your display preferences (such as dark mode) in your browser's local storage so the app remembers you and your settings. We do not use advertising or marketing cookies. You can clear this storage in your browser settings, which will sign you out.

Children

Sacred Unmuting is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of majority in their country. If you believe a child has given us information, email amanda@amandaquickhealing.com and we will delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may ask to access, correct, delete, or port your information, restrict or object to certain processing, withdraw a consent you have given, or complain to your local data protection authority. In California and other US states with similar laws, you may also ask what categories of personal information we collect and disclose, and you may ask us not to "sell" or "share" it — we do not.

Email amanda@amandaquickhealing.com to make a request; we will verify your identity where needed and respond within one month. You can also export your own writing from inside the app at any time, and you can stop check-in emails in your account settings.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we make a material change, we will update the date below and, where appropriate, tell you in the app or by email.
