The agreements
Sacred Unmuting is operated by Amanda Quick Healing LLC ("we", "us"). These pages cover the terms of use, the refund policy, and how your writing and your personal information are handled. Using the app means you agree to the terms below.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Terms of use
What this is
Sacred Unmuting is a private journaling space. It gives you a place to write, record your voice, save and organise entries, export your own writing, and — on the paid Deeper plan — receive written reflections generated from your own entries.
Your account
You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials private. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. You must be of legal age in your country to use the app.
Your writing belongs to you
You keep ownership of everything you write. You grant us only the limited licence needed to host, store, back up, and display your entries so we can provide the service, and to generate the reflections you ask for. We do not sell your writing.
Our service and our intellectual property
The app itself — its software, design, branding, prompts, and the reflection methodology behind it — belongs to Amanda Quick Healing LLC. You may not copy, resell, reverse-engineer, or redistribute it, or work around its limits.
Subscription and billing
The Deeper plan costs $15 per month and renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal; your access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation, and refund mechanics are handled by Paddle under its Buyer Terms (https://www.paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms).
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the app unlawfully, or to plan, promote, or facilitate harm to yourself or anyone else;
- submit illegal content, deepfakes, hate speech, harassment, malware, or attempts to manipulate or jailbreak the reflection feature;
- scrape, probe, or interfere with the app's security, or spam it;
- infringe someone else's intellectual property in what you upload or publish;
- use the app to impersonate a person or organisation, or to send unsolicited bulk messages.
About the reflections
Reflections are generated by an AI model from your own entries. They are a writing mirror, not therapy, medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice, and they are not a diagnosis. Outputs can be inaccurate or miss context. You are responsible for how you interpret and use them, and for having the rights to anything you put in.
Sacred Unmuting is not a crisis service and does not provide emergency support. If you are in danger or thinking about hurting yourself, contact emergency services or a crisis line — in the US, text HOME to 741741.
We may remove or restrict content that breaks these terms, refuse or filter generated output, and suspend or terminate access for material breach, non-payment, a security or fraud risk, or repeated serious violations.
Availability
We aim to keep the app running, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Save important entries before making big changes.
If access ends
You can export everything you have written at any time, including before your access ends. After an account is closed, entries are deleted within 30 days unless we are required to keep them by law.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, and our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the six months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where the law does not allow it to.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app or by email. Continued use means you accept the update. These terms are governed by the laws of the state of the seller's registration, and disputes are resolved in its courts.
Refund policy
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you can request a full refund within 14 days of your order date — no explanation required.
Refunds are processed by our payment provider, Paddle. To request one, visit paddle.net or email amanda@amandaquickhealing.com and we will help you find the right place to start.
If you cancel a subscription, you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again. Refunds for paid periods are handled under this policy.
Privacy notice
Amanda Quick Healing LLC is the data controller for the personal information described here. This notice explains what we collect, why, who it is shared with, how long we keep it, and the rights you have.
What we collect
- Account information: email address, password (stored only as a hash), display name, and the optional gender field you may fill in for personalisation.
- Your writing: journal entry titles, text, tags, arrival and intention notes, and drafts.
- Voice recordings you choose to record, which are converted to text and stored so you can play them back.
- Reflections generated for you, and the check-in emails you opt into.
- Billing status: whether your subscription is active, its plan, and its period. Payment card details are collected by Paddle, not by us.
- Technical data needed to run and secure the app: device and browser information, IP address, and error logs.
Why we use it
- to create and secure your account and provide the journal you signed up for (performance of a contract);
- to generate reflections and tag suggestions you ask for, and to keep the writing experience personal to you (performance of a contract, and your consent where personalisation is optional);
- to send the check-in emails you have chosen to receive, and to honour your opt-out (consent);
- to prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents, and to keep the service stable (legitimate interests);
- to answer your support messages (legitimate interests);
- to improve the app in aggregate, without selling your writing (legitimate interests).
Who it is shared with
- our hosting and infrastructure providers, who store the app and its data;
- the AI provider that generates reflections and converts your voice to text, used only to produce the output you asked for;
- Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for selling the subscription, managing billing, tax compliance, and invoicing;
- our email provider, for check-in and account emails;
- professional advisers such as lawyers and accountants, under confidentiality;
- authorities, where we are required by law.
We do not sell your personal information or your writing, and we do not share your entries with other users. Your entries are private to your account by default; the "Shareable" flag only changes what you can copy and paste out yourself, and never publishes your writing.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and entries while your account is open. If you close it, entries and recordings are deleted within 30 days. Billing records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Data is deleted or anonymised when it is no longer needed for the purposes above.
Where it is stored
Your data is hosted on servers operated by our providers, which may be located outside your own country. Where information leaves the UK or EEA, we rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
Security
We use technical and organisational measures to protect your information: access controls, per-user isolation of entries enforced at the database level, encryption in transit, and restricted internal access. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your password private.
Cookies and local storage
The app stores your sign-in session and your display preferences (such as dark mode) in your browser's local storage so the app remembers you and your settings. We do not use advertising or marketing cookies.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may ask to access, correct, delete, or port your information, restrict or object to certain processing, withdraw a consent you have given, or complain to your local data protection authority. Email amanda@amandaquickhealing.com and we will respond within one month. You can also export your own writing from inside the app at any time.
